Enhanced Asure ID® Software Development Kit Streamlines Integration

HID Global has announced the new Asure ID® Software Development Kit (SDK) with tools to integrate smart card encoding and graphic design of ID card templates into virtually any credential management ID card system.

Asure ID SDK leverages the advances launched earlier this year in Asure ID 7 Card Personalization Software. With the SDK, OEM software developers and integrators can now extend the benefits of an intuitive interface and enhanced ID template design functions to end users. New SDK integration tools and application programming interface (API) commands now make it even easier to add a top-of-the-line card personalization module into systems for physical and logical access control, visitor management and more.

Key enhancements now available with the Asure ID SDK:

• Microsite with supporting software documentation for registered SDK users
• Auto-notification of software updates – exclusive in the marketplace
• Improved template management, simplified card status controls and error handling
• Ability to launch third-party applications from within Asure ID interface
• iDIRECTOR® integration for iCLASS® and MIFARE™ encoding
• Sample application with.NET framework to facilitate use of APIs for integration into third party applications

Printer Discontinuation Notice: FARGO HDP600 CR100 Printer/Encoder

HID Global is discontinuing all configurations of the HDP600 CR100 ID card printer/encoder. On October 27, 2011, the HDP600 CR100 will no longer be available, and on January 31, 2012, the HDP600 CR100 will be officially discontinued.

Genuine HID Global Fargo Printer ribbons and lamination supplies will be available for an indefinite period of time.

UltraCard® Premium Cards Preferred for High Durability Applications

HID Global UltraCard™ Premium High Durability ID Cards are the preferred ID card for customers using FARGO High-Definition-Printing (HDP) and Direct-to-Card (DTC®) applications that require a higher quality card.

In comparison to UltraCard III, HID Global’s next generation UltraCard Premium composite ID card stock is more durable due to the aggressive adhesion between the card layers and is a better choice when printing with a fluorescent (F)-panel ribbon. At a lower retail price point, UltraCard Premium offers excellent value and offers F-Panel Compatibility as well as excellent durability.
