HID Global Fargo® Direct-To-Card Printers Have Received Energy Star® Rating

HID’s Fargo DTC4000 and DTC4500 direct-to-card ID printer/encoders are now ENERGY STAR-rated, providing organizations with high-performance, energy-efficient ID card printing solutions that support corporate green initiatives while also helping to reduce costs!

New ID card printer green features include:

• ID card printer design enhancements that enable the printers to consume less energy when in standby or sleep mode.
• Default time for sleep mode has been lowered from two hours to five minutes.
• ID card printers are turned on and off using the power button and not by plugging in the power cable.

The ENERGY STAR-rated HID Global Fargo DTC4000 and DTC4500 ID card printers without lamination will begin shipping at the end of May, 2011.
